I have been using
biodiesel at the 100% level (yes I said 100%) I get a lot of surprised
looks from others when I say that, they almost don't believe me. I have
been doing this for 3 years now in a 1976 1370 Case, 1982 JD 4440 &
for the first time last fall in a 1979 JD 7720 combine all with absolutely
NO problems, so if anyone is leery of using a strong blend, don't be.
I get the fuel from Star Energy in Gowrie, they go to West Central in
Ralston, get 300 gallons & drop it off at my farm when they deliver
the regular diesel. 300 gallons is the minimum that I have to get, that
doesn't sound like much but I would rather use soy than petroleum diesel
any day especially if the prices would get closer together. In the 3
years, I have not noticed a loss of power or increase in consumption
over regular diesel. I will keep using soy until someone can prove to
me it is bad for an engine. After my experience with it at 100%, they
will have a big job ahead of them to prove it to me. Keep up the good
work. |
