Ag Ventures Alliance
Is an organization comprised of farmers and agribusiness people with a mission to facilitate the development of Iowa value-added agricultural ventures. Members of Ag Ventures Alliance have first opportunity to invest in projects the organization identifies through its business evaluation process.

Iowa Institute for Cooperatives
Is the trade association for cooperatives in Iowa. Providing assistance to new start up value added enterprises, the Institute has worked extensively with cooperatives and limited liability companies. They provide expertise in choosing business structures, developing business plans, planning equity drives, and obtaining financing. The Iowa Institute for Cooperatives has worked with all types of enterprises including grain processing, livestock production and livestock processing.

REVAMP
Is the Rural Economic Value-Added Mentoring Program. Managed by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, it provides business planning for innovative value-added businesses that want to start or expand in Iowa. Renewable fuels production, value-added processing industries, and manufacturing new use agricultural commodities may be eligible.

VAAPFAP
Is the Value-Added Agricultural Processes Financial Assistance Program, managed by the Iowa Department of Economic Development. The program encourages increased utilization of Iowa agricultural commodities by investing in the development of new agri-products and new processing technologies. It assists revitalization of rural regions of the state by committing resources to new or existing value-added production facilities, including renewable fuels facilities.

VAAPFAP componentsinclude Innovative Agricultural Products and Processes, and Renewable Fuels. Assistance may include loans (forgivable or non-forgivable).
