IOWA SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION WINS NAMA AWARDS

URBANDALE, Iowa - The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) is proud to announce that it recently won three National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) awards, two awards in advertising and one in public relations. ISA won both first place and merit in the Multi-Media Campaigns-Local category. The Time for an Oil Change campaign won first place and the Make the Switch to Soy Sweepstakes was the merit winner. ISA’s Soy Biodiesel 250 Race won the merit award in the public relations category of Events-customer events.

“Getting recognized by others for our creative and promotional activities is always appreciated, and I continue to be impressed and appreciative of our dedicated and passionate staff,” says Kirk Leeds, ISA chief executive officer. “But in reality, given the incredible array of products made from soybeans, it makes our job much easier. It's an exciting time to be involved in the soybean industry and I think our creative materials reflect that excitement.”

The Region 3 Best of NAMA award ceremony was held Jan. 11, in Moorhead, Minnesota. Hosted by the Northern Prairie chapter of NAMA, the event honored the best work of the North Central, Iowa, Corn Belt and Northern Prairie chapters. The region had 319 entries, judging was held in Kansas City in November.

ISA’s Time for an Oil Change, Make the Switch to Soy and Soy Biodiesel 250 Race will now advance to the national judging.

The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
