IOWA SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION RECEIVES AWARD FOR TV SPOT

URBANDALE, Iowa - The Iowa Soybean Association has earned a Silver ADDY for their All in a Day’s Work television advertising campaign. The Advertising Professionals of Des Moines present the ADDY Awards each year for the best advertising in the state, choosing from thousands of entries.

ISA’s All in a Day’s Work television advertising campaign promotes the value Iowa’s soybean farmers add to Iowa’s economy and environment while funding research into new and better uses for soybeans. The commercials have run statewide from December through February.

Cate Newberg, ISA senior marketing adviser, worked with ISA Producer Services Representatives Amanda Wall, Val Plagge, Dan Dreher and Jen Barglof to find Iowa soybean producers from across the state whose operations and families are featured in the All in a Day’s Work commercials. In addition, ISA created a calendar with photos of each of the farm families.

“The idea was to convey to all audiences the value Iowa’s soybean farmers and their soybean crops add to Iowa through providing food, fuel and innovation,” explained Newberg. “It also gives our farmers a pat on the back for their professionalism and foresight.”

This is the second straight year the Iowa Soybean Association has received an ADDY. In 2007, ISA won a gold, a silver and a Best in Class award for the Time for an Oil Change and Win a Free Ride campaigns.

The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
