MARCH 20 IS SOY DAY ON THE HILL

URBANDALE, Iowa - Join the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) for Soy Day on the Hill on March 20, 2007, at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Come learn about all of ISA’s diverse program areas: soy biodiesel, soy candles, soy foods, the On-Farm Network™, production research and environmental programs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about “E Starts with Me,” an environmental campaign that ISA’s environmental team will unveil that day. They will also be able to view Soy on Parade, a collection of 20 large, three-dimensional fiberglass sculptures shaped as soybeans, which were adorned by Iowa artists.

Soy Day on the Hill is a great chance to meet with state legislators and ISA directors. It is also a good time to find out more about the Iowa Soybean Association’s many program areas. Those in attendance can sample soy cookies and bars from The Soyfoods Council, visit with representatives from the On-Farm Network™ and hear about the latest findings in soybean research. Biodiesel representatives will also be on hand to answer questions and discuss the latest pertaining to Iowa’s biodiesel industry.

There is no charge to attend Soy Day on the Hill, so show your support for ISA and the environment by coming to the capitol on March 20.

The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
