Joe McClure is the Director of Research at the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA), where he leads the strategy and direction for research in the Research Center for Farming Innovation (RCFI). In this role, he collaborates with a dedicated team to transform farmers' questions and challenges into actionable research, aiming to develop technical insights applicable to farms across Iowa. The research program focuses on supporting the profitability, productivity, and sustainability goals of all Iowa farmers.
Before joining ISA, Joe accumulated 20 years of experience in the seed industry, holding various roles focused on field research, inventory, logistics, and seed production.
Joe's foundation in agriculture stems from his upbringing on a hog and grain farm near Center Point, Iowa. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Mount Mercy College and a Master of Science in Crop Production and Physiology from Iowa State University.
Throughout his career, Joe has demonstrated a commitment to advancing agricultural practices and supporting farmers. His extensive experience in the seed industry and his leadership at ISA's RCFI underscore his dedication to enhancing the productivity and sustainability of farming operations in Iowa and beyond.
