Josh is the spatial data analyst, leading spatial data management and analyses for the Research Center for Farming Innovation. McDanel develops tools and applications for internal use and external customers to collect, analyze, report, and share agronomic and environmental spatial data at the field, farm, watershed and regional scales. Josh grew up in Southeast Iowa and got his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Iowa State University, both had focuses on environmental science and soil science.
