Ryan Johnson is a Conservation Agronomist based in Northwest Iowa, specializing in no-till, strip-till, cover crops, and edge-of-field practices to improve soil and water quality. With a background in farming and an Ag-business degree from Dordt College, Ryan combines his hands-on experience and professional expertise to help farmers transition to more sustainable practices.

Working out of a seed and chemical dealership near Cleghorn, IA, Ryan supports local producers by guiding them through the adoption of conservation practices and assisting with cost-share programs like Farmers for Soil Health. He also leads field tours to showcase successful local examples and help farmers avoid common challenges during the transition.

Ryan’s goal is to help farmers build healthier, more resilient farms while maintaining profitability and improving environmental sustainability in the region.
