Join the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) Research Center for Farming Innovation in Oskaloosa this summer for an Innovation to Profit Field Day!

Explore research and conservation trials in your area, along with available cost share opportunities. Gain insight into local conservation efforts, including edge of field practices that are impacting farmer productivity.

This event is locally led, locally relevant and locally driven to deliver. 

Agenda

11 a.m. - Welcome and Opening Comments 

11:15 a.m. - Conservation Practices in SE Iowa & Cost Share Opportunities

Matt Swanson, ISA conservation agronomist
Learn more about cover crops that can be planted in SE Iowa and how to manage them. This will include information on seeding rates, when to seed and when to terminate. You'll also learn how to implement cover crops in different crop rotations such as no till and continuous corn.

11:45 a.m. - Lunch

12:15 p.m. - Agronomy Update & ISA Trial Opportunities

Lucas De Bruin, ISA research agronomist
Gain insight on replicated strip trials and projects that include nutrient management and disease control in corn and soybean rotations with some implementation of cover crops.

12:45 p.m. - Oxbow Tour

Brandon Iddings, ISA conservation services manager
Tour an oxbow and learn more about how they benefit farmers. You'll also get the inside scoop on other edge-of-field practices and habitat opportunities available for Iowa farmers and landowners.

1:30 p.m. - Wrap up & Time for Discussion
