Date & Time: August 20, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Location: StoneX West Des Moines Office (1075 Jordan Creek Pkwy West Des Moines, IA 50266)

StoneX, a Friend of the Iowa Soybean Farmer industry partner of ISA, is conducting a one-day seminar for soybean and corn farmers wanting to enhance their risk management.

The in-person seminar, to be held Tuesday, August 20 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will share tips for utilizing futures, options, and cash contracts as a part of an operation’s risk management plan. Attendees will learn about crop insurance and how it compliments forward grain marketing and how to develop a marketing plan that includes establishing profitability goals/targets. In addition, those who have on-farm storage will learn how to leverage those assets to add to your bottom line properly.

Experts will be on hand to help attendees compile financial statements on a quarterly basis as well as at year end to make smart tax decisions. Participants will gain a new understanding of how to think about grain marketing in terms of profit/loss per acre vs. price per bushel and managing a farm like the business it has become.

The event is open to Iowa Soybean Association farmer members at no cost. Enter the discount code IOWASOYBEAN at checkout to utilize your farmer membership discount. Click here to register.
