March 10, 2022
The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) and Cargill are teaming up to provide farmers with timely insights on the soybean industry and see first-hand how the product they grow is processed.
An ISA-Cargill Farmer Roundtable will be held Wednesday, March 23, at the AgRenewable Building at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with refreshments and networking sponsored by ISA. The program begins at 9 a.m. with perspectives shared by Tim Coppage, a regional commercial leader for the Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain North America and Kirk Leeds, CEO of ISA.
Speakers will provide insights into soybean pricing opportunities, challenges and opportunities in the marketplace and the latest regarding renewable fuels demand and its impact on the soy industry.
Panel discussions will also be held featuring representatives from ISA and Cargill.
An optional tour of Cargill’s Iowa Falls facility will be held following lunch.
“From a Cargill perspective, we are constantly looking for ways to connect with farmers,” says Coppage. “This format is a really good opportunity to get people together to exchange ideas and provide updates.”
RSVPs are due Friday, March 18 to Whitley Frieden, ISA producer services coordinator, by calling 563-260-3200 or wfrieden@iasoybeans.com. There is no cost to attend.
